On the 23rd of September 2024, part of the JUST-OS team attended a workshop on Open Science and AI at Leiden University, organized by the Netherlands Commission for Unesco and the Unesco Chair on Diversity and Inclusion in Global Science. Here, Nina presented our chatbot JUST-OS, alongside Margaret Gold and David Raillant from CitiObs, and Wouter Verschoof from WODAN/Heritage Quest.
The presentations, breakout sessions, and panel discussion offered interesting insights about how AI can help introduce (citizen) science to a broader public. The audience posed critical questions during the presentation of our project, which provided us with new perspectives. We want to thank Jon Verriet and his colleagues at UNESCO for organizing this inspiring afternoon!
